$ widgets, ready to go

Seven small scripts for the script window, in the spirit of waybar modules on an omarchy rice. Each one is a plain bash file you can read before you get it.

Get all of them

First do the four setup steps. Then open Termux, paste this and press enter:

curl -fsSL https://termux.zanoski.com/w/all.sh | bash

It saves the seven scripts in ~/.shortcuts and nothing else. Read it first.

Then add a script window in Hyprtile, or the script panel in Phosphor. Tap it, or hold it and pick script, and choose one from the list. Each widget below says the size and timer that suit it.

The widgets

Want just one? Each has its own line.

bar 4x1 · every 1 min

A waybar style status line: clock, date, memory, disk, and how fast the network answers.

mkdir -p ~/.shortcuts && curl -fsSL https://termux.zanoski.com/w/bar.sh -o ~/.shortcuts/bar.sh && chmod +x ~/.shortcuts/bar.sh

bar.sh · connects to 1.1.1.1 to time the network

btop 2x3 · every 1 min · small text

Memory, swap and disk as btop style bars, with your cores and RAM.

mkdir -p ~/.shortcuts && curl -fsSL https://termux.zanoski.com/w/btop.sh -o ~/.shortcuts/btop.sh && chmod +x ~/.shortcuts/btop.sh

btop.sh · reads only your phone

weather 4x2 · every 30 min

wttr.in, the weather of many waybar rices. It uses where your network is. For a city, tap type a command and enter bash ~/.shortcuts/weather.sh Zagreb.

mkdir -p ~/.shortcuts && curl -fsSL https://termux.zanoski.com/w/weather.sh -o ~/.shortcuts/weather.sh && chmod +x ~/.shortcuts/weather.sh

weather.sh · asks wttr.in

cal 2x3 · every 1 h

This month, today lit and weekends in another colour. Weeks start on Monday.

mkdir -p ~/.shortcuts && curl -fsSL https://termux.zanoski.com/w/cal.sh -o ~/.shortcuts/cal.sh && chmod +x ~/.shortcuts/cal.sh

cal.sh · reads only your phone

crypto 4x2 · every 15 min

Prices and the last 24 hours from CoinGecko. Change COINS and MONEY at the top of the script to pick your own.

mkdir -p ~/.shortcuts && curl -fsSL https://termux.zanoski.com/w/crypto.sh -o ~/.shortcuts/crypto.sh && chmod +x ~/.shortcuts/crypto.sh

crypto.sh · asks CoinGecko

ping 2x2 · every 5 min · small text

How fast a few sites answer: green is quick, yellow slow, red down. Put your own servers in HOSTS.

mkdir -p ~/.shortcuts && curl -fsSL https://termux.zanoski.com/w/ping.sh -o ~/.shortcuts/ping.sh && chmod +x ~/.shortcuts/ping.sh

ping.sh · connects to the hosts you list

colors 2x2 · every 1 h

The 16 colours of your theme, like an omarchy theme preview. Change the theme and it follows.

mkdir -p ~/.shortcuts && curl -fsSL https://termux.zanoski.com/w/colors.sh -o ~/.shortcuts/colors.sh && chmod +x ~/.shortcuts/colors.sh

colors.sh · reads only your phone

What Android keeps from apps

Since Android 10, apps cannot read cpu load, uptime or other apps' processes (/proc/stat, /proc/loadavg, /proc/uptime). Termux is an app too, so a cpu load or uptime widget cannot work without root, and none of these try. Battery needs the separate Termux:API app.

What does work: memory and swap (/proc/meminfo), disk (df), cores (nproc), the time, and anything on the network with curl.

Make your own

Any script in ~/.shortcuts shows up in the list. Colours it prints show in your theme's colours; background colours are left out, so draw swatches with coloured blocks like ███. Keep it quick: a run that takes longer than its time out stops. More in use it.
